Pomodoro ( A Time Management Technique)
Literal Meaning Of Word Pomodoro And The Pomodoro Technique:-
Pomodoro is a sauce made from tomatoes typically served with pasta. Now coming towards the Pomodoro technique it was invented by Francesco Cirillo. He uses a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a Pomodoro, after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student.
My Personal Experience With This Technique:-
This technique is extraordinarily interesting and has amazing benefits. I was already using a similar kind of technique when I am studying. This time after knowing this technique I actually used it for preparing the exam. What I actually did was, when I started studying I put my mobile timer on of 25 min. I have a habit of checking the screen of mobile phone after a few minutes especially when I am studying. While using the Pomodoro technique for time management, I set a timer of 25-minutes when I started studying as per my habit I tapped on my mobile screen after 5-minutes and there was a timer running and showing every second getting down. I started studying again to reach my goal within 25-minutes.
After using this technique like for 3 to 4 times, Whenever I put the timer on I don’t get distracted for a single time and I utilize those 25-minutes with optimal productivity.
It really helped me in organizing my time and managing multiple tasks in a day by increasing productivity in those 25-minutes.
Key Benefits of Using The Pomodoro Technique:-
- Deliver work on time
- Provide a better quality of work
- More productivity and efficiency
- Much less procrastination
- Less stress and anxiety (Complete task before the deadline)
- Improved quality of life
